Spocode is a 24-hour civic hackathon that is focused on open data, government accountability, and building tools and resources that benefit the general public.
The city has donated a great location at the Spokane Fire Center right next to Spokane Community College, with good working wifi and plenty of space to get our groove on.

Prizes will be given to the top three teams. Your team will be judged on creativity, ability to execute your idea and quality of your code. As with our last event, if you wow us with your 1337 h4xx0r skills, we'll probably make up an award on the spot.
16:00pm: Registration open and Pizza
7:00pm: Welcome & team formation
7:30pm: Let the hacking begin - Venue will be open all night

3:30pm: Close all hacking, sign ups for presentations
4:00pm: Presentations and Judging Begin (3-5 Minutes each)
5:30pm: Judges present awards

At this time we do not have any formal submission requirements.
How to enter
To enter this event go to www.spocode.org. We have do not have rules or regulations prohibiting entry to this event.
The main component of this event is civic impact. Each project will be judged on its potential to positively solve city-wide issues.
At this event we want to see your skills. If you overcame some major development issues in your hack, make sure you include that in your presentation.
This is not the classroom. We are not concerned with what you could create, we are concerned with what you did create. You are expected to present a live working demo of your product.
